The Dutch National Bank acquires and exhibits “Talisman Charro” (2025) by Saar Scheerlings

Acquired earlier this year, the sculpture Talisman Charro (2025) is now part of the acquisitions exhibition ‘There’s always more going on than you think’. Eight new works take centre stage and are linked together through the theme of technology.

From the exhibition text: “Technology is having an ever - greater impact on the way we live and work together, on how we move and connect with one another. But what effect does this actually have on our physical bodies - and on how we see ourselves? Artists explore how technology supports, empowers or puts pressure on us. Rather than a simple answer, it is a quest to discover what this constant interplay reveals about who we are.
